Divorce
Divorce, priced before it starts
Most of our divorces are agreed, or close to it. Some aren’t yet. Both have a flat fee, and you know which one you’re paying before we file.
An agreed divorce is one flat fee from the first draft to the final decree. If you and your spouse still disagree about the house, the debts or the children, the fee is a separate flat fee through a full day of mediation, and most cases end there.
Either way, one lawyer reads every paper with you, in English or Spanish, before you sign it.
In every divorce fee
A property and debt list built with you
Every draft read with you on video
The final hearing, by video where the court allows
A plain summary of the signed decree

From the first call to the decree
Most agreed divorces take a few months, much of it a waiting period the court sets.

Questions about divorce
Do we both need lawyers?
We can represent only one of you. Your spouse may hire a lawyer or not; many in agreed cases sign without one after reading the agreement.
What if there’s a house or a retirement account?
Both go in the agreement. Dividing a retirement plan needs its own court order, which we quote before you sign.
How long does it take?
Courts require a waiting period after filing, so even a fully agreed divorce takes a couple of months. We tell you the earliest date on the first call.
