Family law, Fort Worth · By video across the state

An agreed divorce for one flat fee, start to finish

That covers every paper we draft, the agreement you both sign, the final hearing by video and every call and email in between. What it leaves out is named right here, before you pay anything.

  • Court filing fees
  • A trial, if your spouse contests
  • Home or business appraisals
  • Fixed

The fee is written into your engagement letter, and it doesn’t move.
  • Patient

No meter running while you think out loud.
  • Bilingual

Every meeting in English or Spanish, whichever you choose.

Flat fees

Four flat fees, and where each one stops

Each fee is everything we charge for the work it names, however many calls it takes. Courts, mediators and evaluators bill you separately, and we tell you what they usually cost before you sign.

  • Agreed divorce

For spouses who agree, or nearly agree, on the house, the debts and the children.

    • Petition, waiver and final decree drafted
    • A written agreement for both of you to sign
    • The final hearing, by video where the court allows
    • court filing and service fees
    • a trial if the agreement falls apart
    Term:
One flat fee, start to final decree
  • Custody order or change

A first custody order, or a change to the one you have, when the other parent will talk.

    • Petition or response, filed and served
    • A parenting plan with a holiday calendar
    • Preparing for and attending one mediation
    • the mediator’s own fee
    • a custody evaluation or a final trial
    Term:
One flat fee for one parenting plan
  • Child support review

Setting support for the first time, or changing it after a job or a paycheck changes.

    • The support worksheet, run on real pay stubs
    • The petition, and an agreed order or one hearing
    • A wage-withholding order sent to the employer
    • collecting support already owed
    • filing and service fees
    Term:
One flat fee, to a signed order
  • Stepparent adoption

For a stepparent ready to become a legal parent, with the other parent’s consent.

    • Petition and consent papers drafted
    • Arranging the home study and background check
    • The final hearing and the new birth certificate request
    • the home study and background check fees
    • a contested termination case
    Term:
One flat fee, through the final hearing

Each fee covers one case in one county. A payment plan over three or four months goes in the same letter.

Clients

Said once the order was signed

“I asked Harriet what it would cost three different ways because I didn’t believe her. The answer was the same every time, and it was the same at the end.”

Leocadia S.Agreed divorce

“My mother joined every video call so she could follow in Spanish. Consuelo never made that feel like an imposition.”

Abelardo T.Custody change

“Wyatt told me on day one that the background check would be the slow part. It was, and the fee stayed where it was.”

Rhett K.Stepparent adoption

Every family’s case is different. These clients describe their own experience, not a result you should expect.

Questions

What people ask before they hire us

What if my spouse stops agreeing halfway through?

Then the agreed-divorce fee covers the work done to that point, and we quote the rest as its own flat fee before doing any of it. You decide whether to go on.

Will I ever have to come to Fort Worth?

Usually not. We meet by video, you sign electronically or by mail, and many courts hold short hearings by video. When a court wants you there in person, your lawyer is there with you.

Can we talk in Spanish?

Yes. Consuelo Galarza and Yadira Quiroga, who books every meeting, speak Spanish. Court papers are filed in English, and we go through each one with you in Spanish before you sign.

How do I pay a flat fee?

Half when you sign the engagement letter and half when we file, or in three or four monthly payments written into the same letter. The total is the same either way.

Book a video consult

Tell us the kind of case, not the whole story

We’ll write back with a time for a 30-minute video call and the fee that fits. Evenings work; plenty of parents call once the children are asleep.
