How it works

Five steps, and the fee is settled at the second

Every case follows the same shape. The fee is fixed before any paper is drafted, and nothing is filed until you’ve read it.

  1. 01

    Step 1: A 30-minute video call

You tell us the kind of case and the county. We tell you which fee fits, what it leaves out and who your lawyer would be.

  2. 02

Step 2: The fee, in writing

An engagement letter names the fee, a payment plan if you want one, and every cost paid to someone else.

  3. 03

    Step 3: Papers, read together

Your lawyer drafts each filing and goes through it with you on video, in English or Spanish, before you sign.

  4. 04

Step 4: Filing and the other side

We file, arrange service or a waiver, and take every call and letter from the other side.

  5. 05

    Step 5: The signed order

Your lawyer attends the final hearing and sends you the signed order with a page on what it means for you.

By video

Nearly all of it happens on a screen

You don’t need to take a day off to sit in our office.

We meet on a video link that opens in a browser, with nothing to install. Documents are signed electronically or by mail, and many courts hold short hearings by video.

When a court wants you there in person, your lawyer meets you at the courthouse.
